About

Two generations ago, my family created an origami collection which I received as a family heirloom. Captivated by the allure of elaborated paper folds which recalled numbers and angles, I decided to practice with some of the models. I applied combinations of toned washes to the delineations of the paper to boost perspective. During that time I was developing my watercolor technique, approach that began to evolve with color overlays in paper folding models, and that’s when my obsession with origami began.

Amy & Nao consolidates my passions for fauna and flora with trigonometry, textures and watercolor.

About

After earning her MBA degree & with more than 10 years of experience in Marketing, she decided while working full-time, to create her own fashion curriculum in her spare time.

Her passion for travel and learning has lead her onto living in different countries around the world including: Spain, Argentina and last but not least, UK, where she had the privilege to study at London College of Fashion and apprenticed at Ralph & Russo Haute Couture.

After this life-changing experience she moved back to her beloved Puerto Rico and decided to focus mainly in fashion, bringing all her expertise in the world of Marketing finally for her own brand.  That's when everything clicked & Amy&Nao was born.

Most of its text is made up from sections 1.10.32–3 of Cicero's De finibus bonorum et malorum (On the Boundaries of Goods and Evils; finibus may also be translated as purposes). Neque porro quisquam est qui dolorem ipsum quia dolor sit amet, consectetur, adipisci velit is the first known version ("Neither is there anyone who loves grief itself since it is grief and thus wants to obtain it").
